Select a Database
The second step in using the DOM Wizard is to select a database. In order to select a database, the DOM Wizard needs to know what Microsoft SQL Server contains the database. You may type in your SQL Server name into the Server combo box or click the drop down arrow and the list will populate with all SQL Servers available on your local computer and on your network. Next, select the type of authentication you would like to use in order to access the database. Windows Authentication will not require a user name and password. SQL Server Authentication does require a user name and password to be entered. Finally, you may type in a database into the Database combo box or again click the drop down arrow and a list will populate with all the databases available within the selected SQL Server.
When you are finished, click the Next button.
